Summary | Technical Information: From the 1988 Brunswick Billiards Richmond sell sheet: The Richmond, with contemporary styling and rugged durability, is a practical addition to any home. A tradition of quality since 1845 backs the Richmond. The burn, stain, and scratch-resistant rails with walnut woodgrain are bolted through the slate for maximum rigidity. Pearlized inlaid sights and two professional style rail-mounted score counters are standard. Molded CENTENNIAL® cushions assure true ball rebound and maximum accuracy. The legendary Brunswick base frame is engineered for lasting strength. Contemporary legs are bolted to the base frame for rigidity. Three-piece precision ground slate provides a permanent level playing surface. Choice of traditional pocket style or automatic return. Finish: Aprons and legs are covered with a durable woodgrain pattern vinyl. Score Counters: Two sets of professional style core counters are flush mounted in rail. Rails: Burn, stain, and scratch-resistant rails are supported by and bolted through the slate for maximum rigidity. The floating nut plate design allows rail to be precisely positioned and permanently pulled down to the slate. Base Frame: Base frame is composed of four cross support beams, two full-length side beams, and a center beam for lasting strength. Legs: Sturdy contemporary styled legs are bolted to the base frame for strength and rigidity. Construction: Laminated wood construction used for additional strength. All wood is kiln-dried to resist warping. Cushions: CENTENNIAL® cushions are precision molded to assure maximum accuracy and true ball rebound. Sights: Inlaid sights have a maximum tolerance of 30/1000 of an inch for accurate play. Cloth: Billiard cloth is optional; however, Brunswick recommends a professional blend of wool/nylon billiard cloth to assure excellent playability. Pockets: All pocket openings are made to exacting industry standards. Slate: Three-piece, precision ground slate provides a permanent level playing surface. Slate is precision-machined level to within 10/1000 of an inch and extends underneath the rails for consistent play. Machine nuts and bolts are used for maximum stability.
